Town Clerk

Nomination Papers for Running for Town Election Office are available from the Town Clerk as of January 3, 2022. Please email the Town Clerk townclerk@chilmarkma.gov, call 1-508-645-2107 or stop by the Town Hall at 401 Middle Road during normal Clerk Dept. business hours, 8AM-2PM.

Nomination papers are provided to a candidate or to a person authorized in writing by the candidate (MGL 53, §17).

Nomination Papers for town office, to appear on the April 27, 2022 ballot, must be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 9, 2022, 5PM to the Town Clerk in order for the certification of voter signatures. A minimum of 20 signatures must be certified to meet the signature requirements. It is recommended to please gather more than 20 signatures in case some may not be certified.

To register to vote: Go ONLINE, register BY MAIL or you may visit the Chilmark Town Hall at 401 Middle Road to register to vote in person. The Town Hall is normally open weekdays from 8AM-5PM and, on any official Last Day to Register to Vote, in-person voter registration will occur during the hours of 2-4PM and 7-8PM.
