BAY SCALLOP SEASON

Commercial Season

Commercial harvest of bay scallops for all waters of Chilmark begins November 14, 2022.

-Commercial Fishing Days - Monday thru Friday (7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.)

-Commercial Limit - Two (2) Struck Bushels per Day.

-Check in at Menemsha Harbor or Quitsa Bridge no later than 4:10 P.M.

Using scallop drags in the area known as Muddy Cove is not permitted.  This area will be buoyed to protect eelgrass.

Recreational/Family Season

Recreational/Family harvest of bay scallops for all waters of Chilmark begins October 10, 2022.

-Recreational Limit - One half (1/2) bushel per week

Bay scallop season ends on March 31, 2023, unless otherwise posted.
