State Primary Information: Deadline to Apply for a Mailed Ballot, Returning your Ballot & Early Voting

Vote By Mail:

The last day & hour to submit an application for a mailed ballot is Monday, August 29, 2022 at 5PM. Applications must be received by 5PM.

You may submit your Vote by Mail application to your local election office:

• Online
• By mail to Chilmark Town Clerk, P.O. Box 119, Chilmark, MA 02535
• By email to townclerk@chilmarkma.gov
• By fax to 1-508-645-2110
• In-person at Town Hall or via the Drop Boxes at the front door of Town Hall

Returning your ballot:

You may return your Vote By Mail ballot by: 

• Mailing it back using the pre-addressed, postage pre-paid envelope provided
• Hand-delivering your ballot to your local election office, Chilmark Town Hall, 401 Middle Road
• Dropping your ballot off at an early voting location during in-person early voting hours
• Using the ballot drop box at Chilmark Town Hall, 401 Middle Road

For the September 6, 2022 State Primaries, your ballot must reach your local election office by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
