  • Exact copies of nomination papers may allow a candidate to supply a voter with their own nomination paper form to sign, if desired, in order for the collection of signatures to be conducted in a distanced and safe manner.
  • A candidate may submit multiple copies of nomination papers with voter signatures in order to total the required number of certified signatures.
  • During the pandemic, candidates may gather signatures by various distanced methods. Some suggestions are:
  • Candidate schedules individual appointments with voters via email or phone and meets each voter to have the voter sign the nomination paper.
  • Candidates makes it known that they will be stationed in a certain location in Town for a certain period of time and invites voters to drive or walk by. If this method is used, it is advisable to have at least one clipboard and multiple pens with a way to sanitize between use.
