Notice of Last Day to Register to Vote and Absentee Ballot Information

The spring Town of Chilmark Annual Town Meeting will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 and the Annual Town Election will occur on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 (two days after the Annual Town Meeting).

The polls will be open on town election day from 12:00PM (noon) to 8:00PM at the Chilmark Community Center at 520 South Road, Chilmark, MA 02535.

Voting by mail with an Absentee Ballot for the April 27, 2022 Annual Town Election is available for eligible voters. Please go HERE for information on applying for an Absentee Ballot. The last day and hour to apply for a mailed Absentee Ballot is Thursday, April 21, by 5PM. The last day and hour to apply for an in-person Absentee Ballot is 12:00PM (noon) on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

The Last Day to Register to Vote for the Annual Town Election is Tuesday, April 5, 2022. If you are not sure of your voter registration status, you may check your voter registration status by following this link: AM I REGISTERED TO VOTE?

To register to vote: you may register ONLINE, register BY MAIL or you may visit the Chilmark Town Hall at 401 Middle Road to register to vote IN PERSON. The Town Hall is normally open weekdays from 8AM-5PM and, on any official Last Day to Register to Vote, in-person voter registration will occur during the hours of 2-4PM and 7-8PM.
