Important Annual Town Election Updates & Information
The last day to register to vote for the Chilmark Annual Town Election on June 10, 2020 is FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2020.
On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, the Annual Town Election polls will be open at the Chilmark Community Center at 520 South Road from 12NOON to 6PM.
You may go HERE to confirm your voter registration. You may go HERE to register to vote online. You may also register to vote by mailing in a voter registration form to the Chilmark Town Clerk, P.O. Box 119, Chilmark, MA 023535 or by delivering a voter registration form to the Chilmark Town Hall at 401 Middle Rd., Chilmark, MA 02535 (please place inside the silver locked mailbox to the left of the main door at Town Hall). You may visit the Town Hall in person on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 2-4PM and 7-8PM to register to vote. Please follow the directions posted on the main door of the Town Hall once you arrive and the Town Clerk will assist you.
If you have questions or need to speak with the Town Clerk about registering to vote or your voter registration status, please do not hesitate to call 508-645-2107 or email townclerk@chilmarkma.gov. If you hand-deliver a voter registration form to the Town Hall close to the Friday, May 29th deadline, please call 1-508-645-2107 or email townclerk@chilmarkma.gov to alert the Town Clerk to your submission of your voter registration form.

Voters may apply for an early or absentee ballot for the Town Election until 12NOON on the day before the election, Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Please email a signed application to townclerk@chilmarkma.gov, fax a signed application to 508-645-2110, mail a signed application to Chilmark Town Clerk, P.O. Box 119, Chilmark, MA 02535 OR drop off a signed application at the Chilmark Town Hall, 401 Middle Rd., Chilmark, MA 02535 (please place inside the silver locked mailbox to the left of the main door at Town Hall).
For the Town Election, there is no in-person Early Voting at the Town Hall prior to the election on June 10, 2020. Please apply for an early or absentee ballot with time to allow the Town Clerk to mail the early or absentee ballot to you at your address and for you to return the ballot to the Chilmark Town Clerk, P.O. Box 119, Chilmark, MA 02535 by the close of polls at the Chilmark Community Center at 6:00PM on June 10, 2020.
If you deliver an early or absentee ballot application in-person to the Town Hall and it is close to the deadline of 12NOON on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, please call 1-508-645-2107 or email townclerk@chilmarkma.gov to alert the Town Clerk to your submission of an application.
If you return your ballot in person to the Town Hall and the Town Hall is not open, please place inside the silver locked mailbox to the left of the main door at Town Hall, 401 Middle Road, Chilmark, MA 02535.
