Early In-Person Voting: Saturday, August 27, 2022 through Friday, September 2, 2022 (no Sunday hours on Aug. 28th), please see the IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING SCHEDULE HERE, and below. The Early In-Person Voting will occur at the Chilmark Town Hall, 401 Middle Road, Chilmark, MA 02535.

EV In-Person Voting Schedule:

  • Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022: 9am-12pm, 1pm-5pm
  • Monday, Aug. 29, 2022: 2pm-5pm
  • Tues., Aug. 30, 2022: 1pm-4pm
  • Wed., Aug. 31, 2022: 1pm-4pm
  • Thurs., Sept. 1, 2022: 1pm-4pm
  • Friday, Sept. 2, 2022: 2pm-5pm

Parking is available in the area accessed from Middle Road entrance. More parking is available at the front of Town Hall, accessed from Menemsha Crossroad. The Chilmark Public Library parking lot may also be utlilized. Entrance to the Early Voting site is through door adjacent to the main door of Town Hall.

The last day & hours to register to vote or change your party enrollment is Saturday, August 27, 2022: In Person at Chilmark Town Hall 401 Middle Road or ONLINE or BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL & ACCESSIBLE VOTING:

The last day & hour to submit an application for a mailed ballot is Monday, August 29, 2022 at 5PM. Applications must be received by 5PM.

You may submit your Vote by Mail application to your local election office:

  • Online
  • By mail to Chilmark Town Clerk, P.O. Box 119, Chilmark, MA 02535
  • By email to townclerk@chilmarkma.gov
  • By fax to 1-508-645-2110
  • In-person at Town Hall or via the Drop Boxes at the front door of Town Hall

To apply by mail, you may use the application postcard sent to you by the Elections Division, or any other signed request. Every voter was sent a Vote by Mail application in July of this year. A second mailing will be sent in September to every voter who hasn’t already applied for a November ballot. These applications are pre-addressed to your local election office and postage pre-paid.

If you have not received an application or you need a new one, the Vote by Mail application can also be downloaded or printed from our website. Further, any written request with your signature is an acceptable application. You can simply write a signed letter to your local election office to apply for your ballot.

Applications not submitted through the online Mail-in Ballot Application System can be submitted by mail, email, or fax, but they must include a signature that can be compared to your hand-written signature. Electronic signatures, scanned applications, and photos of applications are acceptable.

Typed signatures on applications cannot be accepted, unless you are a voter who requires accommodations due to physical disability.
