Marriage License Information

Couples must appear in person to file their Intention to marry three (3) days prior to the wedding. If possible, please contact the Town Clerk to schedule a time to file intentions: 508-645-2107 or townclerk@chilmarkma.gov
The cost to file an intention of marriage is $15.00
Certified copies of the original marriage certificate are available from the Town Clerk's office for $3.00 apiece. Please go HERE to purchase certified copies of vital records online to be mailed to you or be picked up at Town Hall.
A marriage license may be issued from any city or town in the Commonwealth regardless of where, in Massachusetts, the wedding is taking place.

As of January 2005, premarital blood work is no longer required.
