Dog Licenses

Dog licenses are issued starting in January of each year. Licenses cost $6.00 for spayed/neutered dogs and $10.00 for those that are not. Proof of valid rabies inoculation is required. Licenses are available for purchase at www.chilmarkma.gov, in the Town Office or by mail with return postage of $0.50 included in the fee. Forms are mailed with the Annual Street Census each year.

Regulations

NOTICE: July 16, 2013 - The following regulation was voted by the Selectmen:

June 1st - October 15th Dogs must be on a leash in the Menemsha Area. NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED on the beaches.

Area: Basin Road from North Road to Menemsha Beach, including the town park, wharves and docks. North Road from the intersection of Basin Road to its end at the Intersection of Boathouse Road, Boathouse Road to the end of the West Dock, including all town owned property, wharves and docks.
