The Massachusetts Estuaries Project
The MEP study of the Menemsha-Squibnocket Pond Embayment System was a cooperative research effort between the Mass. Dept. of Environmental Protection and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth School of Marine Science and Technology. An extensive and in-depth scientific examination of the ecosystems, causes of health impairment, and factors leading excess nitrogen, it was completed in 2017 and can be found here.
