Special Town Election Nomination Papers are available at the Chilmark Town Hall as of Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 8AM.

Candidates running for the office of Moderator at the Special Town Election on May 26, 2021 must submit papers with a minimum of 20 registered voter signatures for certification by 5PM on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7, 2021. All signatures must be "wet", original signatures.

The Nomination Papers may be hand-delivered to the Town Hall at 401 Middle Road on the day of the deadline, April 7, 2021 before 5PM, or on weekdays during regular office hours prior to that date. The Town Hall is staffed, but not open to the public, during the hours of 8AM-5PM. There is a doorbell at the main entrance to ring and a person will come out to you to receive the nomination paper(s). The drop boxes outside of the Town Hall may also be used to return your nomination paper if it is not close to the deadline. If the deadline is approaching, please refrain from using the drop boxes to return your nomination paper. Nomination papers must be received by the deadline of 5PM on April 7th. If utilizing the drop box, please email townclerk@chilmarkma.gov or call the Town Clerk's office 1-508-645-2107 or the Town Hall main phone 1-508-645-2100, ext. 0, to alert the Town Clerk or  Asst. Town Clerk that your nomination paper has been placed into a drop box outside the door of Town Hall.
