The Commercial Oyster Season in Tisbury Great Pond will close on March 31, 2022.

Reminder: Only three commercial limits shall be harvested by a commercial permit holder per week (Three (3) struck bushels per day). Sunday will remain non-commercial (family permit) for oyster harvest.

  • Commercial Fishing Days- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Check in at the Old Coast Guard Station.
  • Seed (including seed attached to oysters) must not be harvested. If an oyster has a large amount of small seed attached and can’t be removed without destroying then it is recommended that it be returned to the water.
  • Please don’t pile your cull in the same area. Also oysters culled over deep muddy bottom are less likely to survive.
  • Please try to keep the size of oysters harvested to between three (3) and four (4) inches.
