How You Can Help with the Housing Crisis

Chilmark Land & Homeowners:
YOU CAN HELP with affordable and community housing

Over the past several decades, well-intentioned land use restrictions, scarcity of land, seasonal demand for existing housing and a lack of affordable housing on Martha’s Vineyard have all combined to create our current housing crisis.

Right now, there are over 700 working island families and individuals without stable year-round housing.  We are losing families and our workforce due to the lack of affordable homes and year-round rental units.

This crisis has a profound effect on the entire Vineyard community,
including your friends and neighbors in Chilmark.
