Vote By Mail Information & Important Upcoming Election Dates
Tuesday, September 6, 2022: State Primary
Last day and hour to apply for a VOTE BY MAIL Ballot: Monday, August 29, 2022, 5PM. Please go HERE to apply to VOTE BY MAIL. You may return your Vote By Mail ballot by:
- Mailing it back using the pre-addressed, postage pre-paid envelope provided
- Hand-delivering your ballot to your local election office, Chilmark Town Hall, 401 Middle Road
- Dropping your ballot off at an early voting location during in-person early voting hours
- Using the ballot drop box at Chilmark Town Hall, 401 Middle Road
For the September 6, 2022 State Primaries, your ballot must reach your local election office by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Last day to register to vote or change your party enrollment is Saturday, August 27, 2022: In Person at Chilmark Town Hall 401 Middle Road or ONLINE or BY MAIL. Please go HERE to learn more about party enrollment and registering to vote as an Unenrolled voter (commonly called "Independent").
Early In-Person Voting: Saturday, August 27, 2022 through Friday, September 2, 2022 (no Sunday hours on Aug. 28th), please see the IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING SCHEDULE HERE, and below. The Early In-Person Voting will occur at the Chilmark Town Hall, 401 Middle Road.
