UPDATED Public Advisory from Chilmark Board of Health: Island Pond Cyanobacteria

important notice

PLEASE GO HERE TO SEE THE MOST UPDATED POND MAPS SHOWING THE PRESENCE OF CYANOBACTERIA. Links to older maps area below.

The recent bloom in Upper and Middle Ponds is showing signs of receding, and the crossing at Abel’s Hill is also showing strong signs of improvement.  Follow the posted orange sign instructions at Abel’s Hill, and we hope to be able to downgrade our warnings throughout the Pond next week

Please note:  the readings are only valid for the date, time and place where they were taken.  Conditions can change in either direction.  If you see bright green in the water, please be cautious!  We plan to test again next week, and will post results when we have them.
