Upcoming Election Information: Summer 2022

State Primary & Early Voting:

The State Primary will occur on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022. The polls will be open on election day, at the Chilmark Community Center, at 520 South Road, from 7AM-8PM.

In-Person Early Voting for the State Primary will occur from Saturday, August 27 through Friday, Sept. 2 (excluding Sunday). The hours on each day that In-Person Early Voting will be available, from 8/27/22 to 9/2/22, are to be determined. The Chilmark Town Hall at 401 Middle Road will be the location for In-Person Early Voting.

Vote By Mail for the State Primary is currently available to all voters. Please go HERE to access a VOTE BY MAIL application. The link to the application is at the top of the Chilmark Town Clerk webpage. Paper applications are also available at the Chilmark Town Hall. The deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you is Monday, August 29, 2022, 5PM. The application must be received by the Town Clerk by 5PM on August 29th. You may email a signed application to townclerk@chilmarkma.gov or mail an application to Chilmark Town Clerk, P.O. Box 119, Chilmark, MA 02535 or stop by the Town Hall at 401 Middle Road to complete an application in person.

The last day to apply for an in-person Absentee Ballot is Friday, September 2, 2022, 5PM. Please go HERE to learn about Absentee Voting.

Are you registered to vote? It is easy to check your voter registration status! Check your voter registration status by going HERE. The last day to register to vote or change your party enrollment, in order to vote in the State Primary, is Saturday, August 27, 2022. The Chilmark Town Hall will be open from 9-11AM and 3-5PM for voter registration. Find out more about party enrollment HERE.
