The Joint Committee on Municipalities and Regional Government will hold a public hearing Tuesday, September 14, 2021 starting at 11:00 AM on the following bills:

H.3859 Blais, Natalie   An Act changing the Board of Selectmen of the town of Plainfield to a Select Board 
H.3860 Fernandes, Dylan   An Act relative to the West Tisbury Select Board 
H.3916 DeCoste, David   An Act relative to changing the name of the board of selectmen in the town of Norwell 
H.3917 Gregoire, Danielle   An Act relative to the board of selectmen in the town of Westborough 
H.3937 Cutler, Josh   An Act relative to the Selectboard of the town of Duxbury 
H.3948 Straus, William   An Act relative to the Board of Selectmen of the town of Fairhaven 

H.3985 Fernandes, Dylan    An Act relative to the Chilmark Select Board 
H.3987 Philips, Edward   An Act changing the board of selectmen of the town of Sharon to a select board 
H.4066 Dykema, Carolyn   An Act amending the charter of the town of Hopkinton to change the name of the board of selectmen to select board 
S.2474 O’Connor, Patrick   An Act to amend the Cohasset Town Manager Act to change the Cohasset board of selectmen to the “Cohasset select board” 
S.2491 O’Connor, Patrick   An Act amending the Town Administrator Special Act to change the name of the Hingham board of selectmen to the Hingham select board 

The public is invited to participate in this virtual hearing. Written Electronic Testimony is preferred and may be submitted via email to municipalitiescommitteema@gmail.com. Those wishing to submit written testimony should include the bill number and the word “Testimony” in the subject line of the email and address comments to House Chair Rep. Lori Ehrlich and Senate Chair Sen. John Cronin.

Prior registration to present oral testimony is required.  Persons who have registered will receive an email with instructions on how to join the hearing. Oral testimony will be limited to 3 minutes each.

Please be advised that the hearing will be recorded, and the recording shall be provided to Legislative Information Services. In addition, the hearing will be live-streamed on the MRG YouTube Channel when the hearing commences.
