Potable Water

#30Days30Ways Day 6:

This week when you get groceries, buy water to include with your supplies. -1 gallon of water per person/per day for at least 3 days -Kids, nursing mothers, pet owners & those with medical conditions may need more

Island Well Water is good water.  You don't need to BUY water. You can fill 1 gallon containers and keep them for a week, using them to water house plants or pets and then refilling them to keep fresh water available for you in an emergency.

Up Island we use private wells for our water.  Before a major storm, it is always a good idea to fill containers of potable water for your drinking and cooking needs, and filling yourbath tub (or a large plastic trash can) with water so you can wash and operate a toilet.
