Cape & Vineyard Electrification Offering
Cape Light Compact wants to decarbonize your home at no cost!
As of early 2023, Cape Light Compact received approval from the MA Department of Public Utilities (DPU) to move forward with the Cape & Vineyard Electrification Offering (CVEO). The program will offer incentives for home decarbonization measures, including heat pumps and electric stoves, as well as incentives for solar PV and possible battery storage. The goal of the program is to increase access to home electrification measures and clean energy to low- to moderate-income households.
Through the program, Cape Light Compact will serve a total of 100 homes on Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. Participation requires removal of all fossil fuel equipment, including heating system, stove, and water heater.
