Owl Pellet Dissection

Event Date:
Thursday, July 14, 2022 - 10:30am

30 AM

Join Felix Neck and Chilmark Library in a hands-on science experience - owl pellet dissection! Pellets are a record of what owls have eaten, and scientists can study them to learn more about the owl and the ecosystems in which they live. When kids dissect owl pellets, they can see and identify the tiny bones from that owl's meal, learn about the owl's diet, and the owl's place in the food web.

Thursday, July 14 at 10:30 AM at the Chilmark Public Library.

This event is free and requires pre-registration, as space is limited. Open to families of all ages. Call 508-645-3360 to register.
