Chilmark Beach Committee
March 18th, 2010
Present: Clarissa Allen, Steve McQuiggan, Kristin Maloney, and Martina Mastromonaco
Meeting called to order at 5:05pm
Voted to approve the minutes from February 17th, 2010.
Applications for the second Assistant Superintendant are due April 1, 2010. There will be interviews at our next meeting April 13th, 2010 at 5:00pm.
The Committee decided that the contract for printing the beach stickers will go to DaRosa’s.
Clarissa(committee member) reported that Pam(committee member) had spoken to Tim(exec.sec.) about a resident discount on stickers for year round residents. Tim said this idea has been presented to the Selectmen before and had not been looked upon favorably. The resident sticker idea has been tabled for this season.
Year 2002 was the first year lifeguards were stationed at Squibnocket beach.
Martina (Beach Superintendant) & Chief Cioffi will determine what kind of radios are needed for this season. Should Lucy Vincent have an emergency phone installed?
Emergency protocol- Steve will review the emergency protocols.
Jim Glavin will grade LVB road and will put in the stairs at Squibnocket on May 1, 2010
